Pet Tips: Flea and Tick Season
It’s mid-May and once again flea and tick season is upon us. The worst time for fleas is generally September through October, but it’s never too early to protect your pet!
Symptoms of flea infestation vary depending on how allergic an animal is to flea saliva. On one hand, your pet may not even itch, but a highly allergic animal may start scratching and chewing after only a single bite.
In addition to dermatitis, fleas can cause tapeworms and anemia. To remain flea free, it’s also a good plan to keep the pet’s environment well vacuumed.
